Astray - Dad Character Designs
Initially, Character design was one of my specialisms during my forth year of Animation, and as such I did a lot of early development for characters in Astray I was involved in creating, such as the two dad's. While I would eventually switch to Compositing, I did help in finishing the development of the dads and assisting the Character Designer that took on the 'Round Dad' design.
Wishing Star - Main characters
For Wishing Star, I developed the look and design of the film which included the characters. While the Star was fairly straight forward, the character that would eventually become the Doll took a bit more development. Eventually I decided on the sewn raggedy doll look, as it fit nicely with the hand crafted aesthetic, and would create turn arounds for both characters.
